Let’s Begin! What is RJM and how has participating affected your studio practice?
Artist Panel: Curtis Arima, Melissa Cameron, Sarah Holden and Taylor Zarkades King will introduce our audience to Radical Jewelry Makeover. Our panelists will reveal their creative process and their approach to working with reclaimed materials. We’ll tackle the ethics and hurdles of material sourcing, exploring how sustainability is a source for creative fabrication. Finally, we’ll discuss what fuels their persistence and the vital lessons learned when working with Radical Jewelry Makeover.

The True Cost of Reusing Materials. Is it worth it?
Artist Panel: Andy Lowrie, Jina Seo, Kathleen Kennedy, and Sarah Parker will explore the mindful philosophy and gritty reality of material stewardship, moving beyond the surface of recycling to examine the true cost of reusing materials. We will discuss the "discovery" inherent in the process, and what this means in the finished piece, and its potential to reenter the RJM supply chain, to be remade again and again.

RJM Design Challenges, Merging or Compartmentalizing RJM in your studio
Artist Panel: This conversation with Chelsea Nanfelt-Rowe, Deb Lozier, Kat Cole, and Raïssa Bump will go beyond discussions of technique to look at the psychology of the maker. We’ll investigate how RJM necessitates a mental pivot, often acting as a catalyst for new approaches or conceptual breakthroughs in an artist's general practice. When two worlds collide, this session offers a deep dive into how RJM fits into the larger narrative of a maker's studio life. Whether you view RJM as a distinct discipline or an integrated thread, this panel will offer insight on the specific design challenges of creating Madeover jewelry.

RJM On-Loan and its influence on your current/future practice
Artist Panel: Adam Foster, Emily Culver, Erica Bello and Yev Kaganovich will dive into how the transition from a scarcity mindset to a circular lending library model challenges traditional business structures while fostering radical innovation in design. This session offers a deep look at how a closed-loop system doesn't just change how we source materials, but fundamentally shifts how we teach, design, and exist within the jewelry ecosystem.
